Why we value your privacy
We value your privacy as much as we do our own, so we’re committed to keeping your personal and business information safe. We’re uncomfortable with the information companies, governments, and other organizations keep on file, so we ask for only the bare minimum from our customers. We’ll never use your personal information for any reason other than why you gave it, and we’ll never give anyone access to it unless we’re forced to by law. This policy and notice has been drafted in accordance with the requirements of the California Online Privacy Privacy Protection Act (“CalOPPA”).
How we collect information
We ask for contact information including your name, email address, and phone number, on our website so that we can reply to your inquiry.Our website doesn’t use cookies or scripts that were designed to track the websites you visit. We use Google Analytics as a way to provides statistics and basic analytical tools for search engine optimization (SEO) and marketingpurposes. We do not use native social media ‘like’ or ‘sharing’ buttons which also build profiles of your internet activity.We collect your email address when you sign up for one of our newsletters.We ask for your account and contact information when you hire or buy something from us.Occasionally, we might receive your contact information from one of our partners. If we do, we protect it in exactly the same way as if you give it to us directly.
What information we hold
- When you contact us by email or through our website, we collect your name, email address and phone number. If you sign up for a newsletter, we only collect your email address.
- When you buy something from us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and a home address.
- If you do business with us, we also collect your name and bank/credit card details and keep records of the invoices we send you and the payments you make.
- All purchases are processed by Stripe, our ecommerce platform and we never have access to your credit card information.
Where we store your information
When you contact us by email or through our website, we store your information in My Music Staff, our Music Accounting Software. If you sign up for a newsletter, we store your email address in MailChimp, which is the marketing platform we prefer. If we do business, we store your information in our accounts software, My Music Staff. We chose these systems partly for their commitment to security.
What we use your information for
We occasionally use your contact information to send you details of our products and services. When we do, you have the option to unsubscribe from these communications and we won’t send them to you again. We might also email or phone you about our products and services, but if you tell us not to, we won’t get in touch again. We will use your information to send you invoices, statements, or reminders.
Who’s reponsible for your information at our company

Who has access to information about you
When we store information in our own systems, only the people who need it have access. Our owner Briana Lyn Anderson has access to everything you’ve provided, but individual contractors have access to only what they need to do their job.
Your rights
The CalOPPA gives you a range of rights in relation to the personal data that we collect from. You have the right to:
(a)Access your personal data. This right is commonly known as the ‘data subject access request’ and enables you to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you. You will not need to pay a fee to access your personal data unless we can justifiably demonstrate that the request is repetitive or excessive. We will respond to all legitimate data access requests within one month, but we may need to obtain further information from you in order to confirm your identity and the legitimacy of the request.
(b)Request update of the personal data. This enables you to have any incomplete or inaccurate data corrected.
(c)Erasure of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to delete personal data where there is no justifiable reason for us continuing to retain and process it. We may not always be able to delete the data such as if there is an ongoing contractual relationship between us or if we are legally required to retain the data.
(d)Object to processing of your personal data where we are relying on consent or our legitimate interests (or those of a third party) as the justification for processing the data.
(e)Restrict the processing of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to change the processing of your personal data.
For example, you may wish to vary the basis on which we contact you.
(f)Request the transfer of your personal data to you or to a third party. We will provide to you, or a third party you have chosen, your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format.
(g)Withdraw consent. Where we are relying on consent to process your personal data you may withdraw that consent. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide certain products or services to you. We will advise you if this is the case at the time you withdraw your consent.

Security
The transmission of information via the Internet or email is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of data while you are transmitting it to our site; any such transmission is at your own risk.
We have put in place security measures to prevent your data from accidental, loss or disclosure. Once we have received your personal data, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorized access.
DNT
Briana Lyn Studios, Inc. does not track its customers over time and across third party websites to provide targeted advertising and therefore does not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals.
